Milt Briggs

A Sacramento native who was born loving music Milt grew up in rural Sutter County where he fell in love with Nature too. Today he combines the two, music and nature, in his performances of vocals, whistling, poetry and stories with self-accompaniment on guitar and keyboard. His repertoire is wide-ranging and includes standards, classics, folk, blues and jazz. He is the most prolific composer in the world for whistling and his compositions are wide in scope. He shapes whistling into a beautiful musical art and shows the improvisational possibilities of this human instrument. Retired from a career as public school speech therapist Milt now devotes himself exclusively to music and the Muse. Milt has received numberous awards for his whistling including the International Grand Championship, the Lillian Williams Entertainer of the Year, and he has been inducted into the Whistler's Hall of Fame.
